Welcome! This is the place to go for discussion about any Adult Visual Novel(AVN) you’re currently playing or have finished. Veterans can ask for recommendations of new games and brand new players can ask any questions they have about the genre. We host many polls/challenges and dev AMA's. We post a Monthly Game Showcase to put some shine on underappreciated developers at the start of every month. You will also find conversations about other Adult Game types and even JVN's.
Do not post or discuss sexual or suggestive content involving minors. As a general rule of thumb, if an AVN has a Patreon or Steam page for distribution, then the version distributed on those platforms will be okay. As they have rules against such content in their own TOS. Any discussion of patches to add sexual or suggestive content involving minors is also banned.
Properly tag major spoilers if discussing it in a context where people who haven't played the AVN are likely to see it. E.g. review and recommendation threads. If the content is under a month old it is also generally advisable to spoiler tag it.
Do not post direct links to Piracy sites. If possible, always link to the games Patreon, Itch, and/or Steam page.
Games will be banned if they directly and unavoidably conflict with Reddits content policy. All decisions on banning games will have posts made that make clear the reasons for the ban, moderators will not leave you in the dark, you deserve that much even if you don't agree with the decision. If your comment or post is removed, you will be told precisely why.
Do not spam render posts. If you make an image post you must comment on it with the name of the game, dev, and link to a non-piracy source. Always try to facilitate healthy discussion with your posts, including a question or thought in your comment is strongly recommended. Spam/karma farming posts will be removed but you will be given the opportunity to repost the image in a more substantial context.
In order to avoid having the sub look like a giant ad billboard, we restrict advertisement/recommendation posts to 1 per week (game & user). Meaning if someone posts an advert/rec for a specific game, we won't approve further advertising/recommendations for that game for the next 7 days. If you posted an advert/rec for any game, we won't approve further advertising/recommendations from you for the next 7 days.
Treat others with respect. It’s okay to disagree with people, it’s not okay to bully, harass, threaten violence against, or say anything that breaks Reddit's content policy.
Obviously the main focus of the community is Adult Visual Novels, but you are more than welcome to talk about other adult games as well here as long as they don't violate our other rules. Talking about JVNs and SFW VNs is also fine.
