About this subreddit:

We are a community of artists that believe men are beautiful. r/ArtOfMan seeks to provide a space for the artistic appreciation of the human male form. In this sub you will find original figurative artworks with men as the primary subject. We welcome original still art of many kinds (portraits, nude drawings, erotic, etc) in both digital and traditional media - as long as the primary subject is a man or men, we want it!

Rules:

  1. 1. Be Kind, Be Encouraging, Be Respectful

    Always be kind to the artists in this community. We accept art from all skill levels and want to foster a welcoming community. Only provide critique when the artist has asked for it. And when providing crit, be constructive. Never be mean here.

  2. 2. Original Work Only

    This sub is for you to post original artwork that you have created. If you didn’t make it, don’t post it.

    AI generated art is not considered original artwork in this sub.

  3. 3. Still Art Only

    Please only post still art and animation - no videography.

  4. 4. No Photos/Photo Manipulation

    There are plenty of subs for photographs of men. We are focused on other visual art forms. The only exception to this rule is that we will accept photographs of original sculptures.

  5. 5. No Advertising/Promoting

    Since this community only accepts original art, people will come here looking for great art of men. Make sure to have all of your socials linked on your profile so that you can build a following. But don’t use this sub solely to promote your work/business/page.

  6. 6. Primary Subject Must Be A Man

    You can have other elements (including women, animals, landscapes, etc) in your art, but the primary subject must be a (human) man.

  7. 7. “Monday Inspiration”

    On Mondays we give our members the opportunity to share work from the great artists (past and present) that inspire them. “Monday Inspiration” posts must follow ALL of these guidelines:

    1. Monday only
    2. Art must have a man as the primary subject
    3. Post must be tagged with “Monday Inspiration” flair
    4. Post must credit artist in the title
    5. If the artist is still alive, you must provide a link to their source content in the comments
    6. Only one “Monday Inspiration” post per user per week
  8. 8. 3 posts per day

    We want a variety of art from a variety of artists. Please limit your posts to 3 per day

  9. 9. Defining “Man”

    The moderators of this sub are cis men, so we acknowledge that we don’t fully understand the trans experience, but as queers ourselves, we want to be inclusive. This rule will be subject to change, but for now, if your subject identifies as a man, we welcome your art of him with open hearts.
