Spicy subreddit /r/ArtisticPortraits

About this subreddit:

The Artistic Portrait community is for posting your professional quality portrait photography that possesses creative and artistic qualities. SFW, NSFW, black & white, and color are allowed all allowed. All submitted images are expected to be tasteful and aesthetically pleasing; crude, vulgar, or unprofessional images will be turned away.

Rules:

  1. 1. Be a positive community member

While everyone is entitled to their opinions, those opinions don't always contribute to a healthy community. Please refrain from comments others may find rude and hurtful. This is an inclusive community that will not suffer the intolerance of orientation, race, religion (or lack thereof), etc.

  2. 2. Post appropriately

There is clearly a grey area between what's an acceptable post and what isn't; we understand it's subjective. However, please don't try to post images that are clearly outside the ambition of this community. This includes: non-portraiture; visible penetration or direct contact with genitalia; tasteless, crude, or unflattering images; or poor quality images.

  3. 3. Artistic and Creative Style Standards

Again, we recognize that art is subjective and getting everyone to agree on what a quality standard should be is impossible. It's for that reason we started our own community, to be able to have our own say and decide that for ourselves. We understand our tastes may not be for everyone and we can accept that. Please take time to scroll through what's posted here and ask if what you're posting fits the standard we wish to uphold. If we do not believe it does, we hope you'll understand.

  4. 4. AI use

AI generated images should obviously not be posted. We understand learning how to prompt properly is actually quite challenging, but that's not for this community. That said, AI can be a useful tool for editing within a greater whole and many composite images may find small benefits from AI. Small unnoticeable uses of AI within a large editing process probably won't be noticed and are acceptable.

  5. 5. Credits, Copyright, OC

This is not a feature community for anyone to post any image they like. This is a community for photographers, models, agencies, etc to post images that they have permission to post. Please do not post an image you do not have permission to post.

  6. 6. Title your images well

Please take time to post a thoughtful title to your image. We're aware this isn't always easy. If you absolutely cannot come up with something, the model's name is fine. Please don't post links, social media handles, or anything of that sort.

  7. 7. Observe models or photographers appropriate names.

Do not post the legal names of models or photographers who strictly go by nicknames, brands, or other names. If you see where this has been breached, please report it to us. We understand accidents happen, but most models and photographers who work together should be aware of these names.

  8. 8. Hold social media and OF handles.

If someone wants to track you down, they'll click on your profile and find your links. Please do not post links to social media in your initial posts. If you really want to add them, please leave them in a comment after you post.

  9. 9. No doxing

Please do not post identifying information about those who wish to not be identified.

  10. 10. Use common sense

It's in decline these days, but please use common sense. Don't nitpick the rules. Don't do illegal things. Don't poke the bear. Let's just enjoy the beautiful images together for as long as we can.
