    A goth is someone who is a fan of/and or performs goth music (not limited to goth, but extends to sub-genres/counterparts such as deathrock, darkwave, coldwave, ethereal wave, etc.). Goth does have a fashion but fashion alone wouldn't make you goth, as it is a music based subculture and contrary to what people think, we don't all have the same mindset or aesthetic. This rule is not meant for gatekeeping. This rule is designed to prevent people from posting here with no connection to the culture

    Don't be a big baby on this subreddit and whine at someone or about something.

    If another poster claims your post as their own and it is validated, then the post will be removed at the discretion of the original poster.

    This rule is in effect to prevent posters who have no connection to the goth community- self promoters, sex workers and the like. Regular posters who occasionally post photos that are not 'strictly' goth in appearance should not be report. This rule is not meant as a gatekeeping device.
