No fakes. There is /r/CelebFakes/ for that kind of content!
No porn stars! They are not accepted as celebs.
Spam or blatant self promotion are highly discouraged.
Still images must be at least 700px on the shortest dimension. Try to find the largest version of the image.
Tineye.com and Yandex.com is useful for this.
Avoid overly blurry images.
Video must be bigger than 350px in all dimensions. This is hard to check for so will be unevenly enforced.
Repost from the all time greats. Double dip to your heart's content. But don't post anything that has been posted in the last 30 days. This applies to higher quality and cropped images too. Just wait out the period.
One exception: if you've made a mistake and you catch it within 3 hours you may delete the post and post it again.
The image must contain enough face to determine identity. No headless or body part images or videos allowed.
Additional images from the same event showing the face can be in an album with the main post or within the post comments to validate identity. A valid image source will also suffice.
• Full name of the celeb(s) must be in the title
• Stage names are allowed
This sub is for positive appreciation only. If you only have negative things to say just down vote the comment or post and move on. Negative comments or posts will be removed.
Repeated violations will result in an ever escalating sequence of timeouts . The first violation is just to get your attention with a one day timeout during which you can actually read the rules . After that it's three days, then 7, then a month and finally 90 days for each additional violation.
Not every violation will result in a timeout , that is at moderator discretion . And comes down to whether we think you'll learn from it or whether it was just an honest simple mistake.
