DirtyPenPals is a writing subreddit for people 18+ who are looking to connect with someone through the written word and erotic conversation. Stop by, find a partner, and enjoy!
Rules:
1. Be respectful.
Bullying, harassment, shaming, calling out, hate speech, or behaving like a jerk in PMs, posts, or comments will not be tolerated. You can review our harassment policy here.
Do not sexualize specific real-world violent events, or specific real-world examples of harm, suffering, or abuse.
Any comment which detracts from a poster finding a penpal may be removed at moderator discretion.
2. Only one post is allowed per 8 hours, and the same post only 3 times in 7 days.
Accounts must be at least seven days old in order to be able to make a post on /r/dirtypenpals.
Limit partner-seeking posts to once every 8 hours.
You may post the same prompt no more than 3 times over a 7 day period.
Deleted posts still count toward the limits.
POST LIMITS APPLY PER USER, NOT PER ACCOUNT. Juggling multiple accounts to cheat the posting limits will result in an immediate ban.
3. Posts must be prefixed with a tag, e.g. [A4B].
Partner-seeking posts MUST be prefixed with tags, such as [F4F], [M4A], [TF4F], [NB4M], etc. How tags are used and interpreted are up to user discretion and responsibility. Posts with creative tags such as [Table4Chair] will not be removed, but are not supported though sidebar searches.
Meta or Share posts must be prefixed with [Meta] or [Share] tags.
4. Posts must be focused on writing with a partner
Partner-seeking posts on DirtyPenPals should be primarily focused on equal, two-way exchanges of writing. Posts that focus on other media forms (pictures, videos, video chatting, etc...) will be removed and redirected to other, more appropriate subreddits. Requiring Images or Verification from a partner is not allowed
5. Posts must offer detailed content.
Posts should have a minimum of 175 words of descriptive content for prospective partners to respond in kind.
Posts only asking for content do not fit the theme of the subreddit.
There is a minimum requirement for post length. Using filler to make your posts reach the minimum post length is unacceptable.
Offers and requests for completed stories, detailed fantasies, secrets, prompts, or any other requests for content are not considered equal exchanges.
6. No underage users, characters, or roles allowed.
All users of DirtyPenPals must be at least 18.
No arranging of any roles under the age of 18 in any capacity.
There must be clear story context that shows all involved characters are adults above the age of 18.
No underage settings such as high school, babysitting, or "sleepover" prompts.
Disclaimers like “I am 18+ and want to play a fantasy with someone else 18+” are insufficient.
Canon underage characters are underage.
No underage experiences or backstory.
7. Do not involve real people not participating in the exchange
Posts may not involve real celebrities, porn stars, politicians, or any other specific public figures.
Do not post for deleted partners
8. No images of People, NSFW images, and/or gallery links. No outside subreddits or userpage links.
No images of People, real or drawn
"Pics in profile" still breaks the rule.
Do not offer or request photos of anyone not involved in the exchange
Posts cannot have more than four links or images or use galleries.
Do not link to outside subreddits, your userpage, or external text sources.
9. Posts must be your own original writing. (Please modmail us!)
Don’t copy or use someone else’s writing.
Do not use ChatGPT or other AI tools to write your post for you.
If you find that someone has taken and used your or someone else's content, please modmail us and include all relevant links!
10. No selling or offering money/compensation.
All interactions on DirtyPenPals are free. Posts that are offer or request gifts, money, donations, or any other sort of compensation are explicitly not allowed. In addition, advertising for adult websites, chat services, cam shows, adult stores or other similar commercial enterprises are not permitted.
11. Meta posts must be constructive for the community as a whole.
Metas are for useful discussions: topics of relevance to most of DirtyPenPals, conversation-based and promotes dialogue, and are constructive rather than destructive.
Metas are not for rants, discussing your life story, or to attack/admonish/shame another user or group of users.
Metas are not for private communication, looking for lost partners, or to seek attention and exposure.
12. Shared content requires both parties' permission.
Both parties of an exchange must give explicit consent to share it. If you would like to share writing that you have done with a partner, please make sure you ask them for permission before posting it, and separately permission if you would like to share their username. Shares do not require a partner's name if they wish to stay anonymous.
